The Aydin Provincial Assembly has handed Didim 2 million TL to spend in local villages, local media have reported.The money was handed out and to be spent within the first three months of next year.

The funds will go towards financing Astroturf pitches in Akköy; new roofs on buildings in Balat, Yaliköy and Denizköy, and on thousands of new olive trees to be planted in Didim.

Money will also go towards financing medical equipment for the emergency department at Didim State Hospital.

Finances will go into improving the education and infrastructure in Didim generally.
