AKBUK residents are being urged to help out local concerns with a double celebration next week.

Next Wednesday (April 23) sees St Georges Day coincide with Turkey’s National Children’s Day.

So active residents in the community have come together to host several activities, all based at the, Akvaryum Restaurant in Akbuk.

The day will kick off at 1pm and go on till late in order for money to be raised for two local schools and Akbuk strays.

Raffle prizes including free car hire donated by Akbuk Solutions, free villa mossi-spray from Let’s Group, a meal for two from Circus Restaurant, free massage and lots of other prizes will be on offer.

There will a tombola, with already 40 assorted prizes available, a tin can alley, apple bobbing, face painting, roll a lira for bottle of whisky, soak the staff with sponges and much more.

There will also be a table top sale, 5TL per table.

The afternoon will finish with live music/singing from Martin.
