A BEAUTY contest, watched by Didim Mayor Deniz Atabay, was held at the Venosa Beach Resort and Spa, at Yesilkent, with the eventual winner crowned from Latvia.

Models from 17 countries, mainly from Russia and its former satellite states, posed in bikini and formal evening wear for the seventh Miss Apollo competition.

And it was Latvian Diana Kubasov who won the competition.

The models, aged between 18 and 23, had enjoyed a brief stay in the resort, including tours of regional and local historical sites, such as Apollo Temple, Ephesus Museum and Virgin Mary’s House.

The competition jury consisted Peninsula Tourism and Chairman Tevfik Bagcilar; PalmWings Hotel General Manager Ercüment Alkama; Fashion TV Director Cuneyt Polat, businessman Ceylan; Miss Apollo organizers Vladimir Ilyn; 2013 Miss Apollo winner Larisa Petrosyan and Miss Volga Beauty Iliyana Luboy.
