SIESTA gave a boat-full of surprises for two lucky ladies recently.

Denise Davies, a regular customer and good friend of Siesta, had a surprise celebration for her birthday aboard on Sunday June 1.

She thought her partner of 5 years, Erkan Cetin, had forgotten her birthday, and when boat was out at sea, she was given a double vodka and coke, and a bottle of wine, from Jill Frettsome, co- owner of Siesta, to commiserate.

However, after lunch, a large chocolate cake complete with candles was given to Denise and the birthday song played for her.

Mert, the boat’s chef (and who looks on her as a ‘mum’) had arranged the cake and Erkan presented her with a beautiful bracelet and matching ring. She was totally surprised, and had to beg him for forgiveness for nagging him about forgetting her birthday.

Denise said the staff and crew on Siesta have always felt like family to her and will always go to extremes to make a perfect day for their customers. She would like to thank everyone on Siesta for making her birthday such a special day.

Meanwhile, well-known Didim expat Kit Bate celebrated her birthday – her fourth time at sea – on the Siesta.
