A British teenager was accosted by three Turkish teenagers who then started laughing and pulled out a plastic bag, started sniffing from it.
Although the tourist was able to escape unhurt and has since flown back to the UK, a friend contacted Voices wanting to raise the issue in relation to the glue-sniffing trio.
She said: “A friend of ours was walking back from the Apollo Temple after having a meal and 3 lads about 13 year of age stopped on a motorbike, grabbed the teenage daughter and called out some kind of abuse to them.
“Laughing they pulled out a plastic bag each and started sniffing the glue inside the bags, before rising off. Next day, they were seen riding along the road near the cemetery doing exactly the same and nearly went into my car as they had no hands on the handlebars.
“I think this ought to be made public to make people aware as next time something worse could happen.”
