MAYOR Didim Deniz Atabay has told a weekly press conference that work is progressing well in the revamp of Hunters Valley – a neighbourhood previously noted for its notorious flooding issues.

Hunters Valley – otherwise known as Avcılar Çukuru – will be seeing roads and street infrastructure generally improved over the winter. Work has begun this week on roads around Hunters Valley.

He said that the Valley would get underground electrical installations, while storm water projects were about to be completed.

He added: “Hunters Valley has been very bad, indeed. There was a lack of infrastructure. Extremely high quality paving stone will be done. Laying paving stones on the street is about 60 per cent complete.”

Hunters Valley is located at the back of Altinkum police station and is bounded by the Yesilkent road.
