DIDIM Council has placed an order for more road-bearing paving stones to be laid this winter, it has emerged.

At his weekly press conference, Mr Atabay told reporters that municipality officials had ordered about 55,000sqm of cobblestone as part of a road tender which had been posted last month.

The breakdown of the total road paving contract is:

Camllik Mahallesi: 18,222sqm for roads; 4,879 sqm for curbing and 3,320 sqm for pavements.

Cumhurriyet Mahallesi: 8,889 sqm for roads; 2,785 for curbing and 2,117 sqm for pavements.

Altinkum Mahallesi: 13,967sqm for roads, curbing and pavements.
