A SERIES of recommendations have been drawn up by Didim community leaders to tackle hassling in the resort.
One suggestion could see bars, accused of hassling, receive a warning, a fine, 3 days closure, 15 days closure and then 30 days closure by way if the problem escalates or persists.
The recommendations came out of talks between police, council, business and the Didim governor at the Chamber of Commerce on November 4.
Didim Mayor Deniz Atabay said that the threat of hassling to local and international guests was obviously worse in the summer as the resort hosted thousands of people.
He added that all businesses, particularly bars, needed to work within their license constraints or face revocation.
Recommendations also being looked at is further dialogue with businesses on what is expected of them, the threat of sanctions and the printing of brochures to get the message across even further.
Further details of the actions will be confirmed in the winter.
