A ‘FOUR STAR’ HOTEL in Didim has had the stars stripped from its sign following action by the Culture and Tourism Ministry.
Didim Belediye firefighters were seen taking the stars down that were under the Hotel First Class banner last week.
Gazette 2000 explained that officers, acting on behalf of the Didim Governor’s office, had removed the signs.
According to the information received, the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism Directorate of Aydın carried out an audit on hotels in Didim.
Apparently First Class Hotel was allegedly using the ‘four stars’ claim for its accommodation, which the Ministry of Tourism said ‘mislead consumers’.
As a result of the action, the stars were removed from the sign.
