MANY expats and Turkish residents have damned the local PTT for what it is – and now its new director has pledged to improve postal services in Didim.

Mehmet Ercan, who took over the post having served at Izmir’s Torbali, said the existing staff at Didim was working to serve “in the best way”.

However, he added that the present workforce was not enough and he would be appealing to his chief directors to increase the staff.

In the meantime, residents will just have to continue to live with delayed and missing post.
