LOCAL media is reporting that former Didim mayor Mumin Kamaci and four council officials have received suspended prison terms as a result of a court case.
The Ozgur Ses Newspaper that Mr Kamaci, along with building control officer İrfan Salan; municipal zoning and city planning officer Seda Yüksel, and Zabita officials Nevzat Oğuz and Salih Turan, had been accused of misconduct amounting to providing “an unfair advantage”.
They were all sentenced to three months prison, suspended for a year, and will be subject to professional audits for the next five years.
No further details have been disclosed about the case.
