POLICE and Customs officers have seized 64 illegal phones, Ecstasy tablets and more than 1,000 packets of counterfeit cigarettes in Didim.

Aydin Province Police Dept, Customs and the Anti-Smuggling Bureau carried out separate operations in the town this week.

Police officers recovered a haul of 64 unregistered phones and phone batteries from property at Batıgazi Bulvarı, in Efeler district.

Narcotics officers stopped a vehicle in Efeler district and recovered a bag suspected of containing 25 ecstasy tablets.

And customs offiers detained a 46-year-old man after seizing 1,534 packets of different brands of cigarettes and 17 packets of rolled tobacco.
