EXPATS and second home-owners will be able to question the Didim Mayor Deniz Atabay at a public meeting on Monday May 4.

The meeting, co-organised by the Voices Newspaper and the local Ozgurses Newspaper, will be held at the Didim Chamber of Commerce Culture Centre (opp Tesco Kipa) in Yeni Mh.

The Mayor’s office said the Didim Mayor along with a number of council officers will be present at the meeting which will begin at 2pm.

The meeting will discuss the problems of the town, the council’s solutions and invite questions and highlight community issues from the public.

So the issues will be mainly centred on topics such as rubbish, roads, water, builders, beaches, tourism.

A similar meeting last year, which the mayor was unable to attend due to an emergency meeting in Aydin, saw about 100 people attend.

Mr Atabay said: “I would be delighted to listen to what the town’s foreign community have to say and how we, as a whole, can approach the problems for the betterment of the town.”
