MIAMI is the latest destination that Turkish Airlines (THY), Turkey’s national flag-carrier, will begin flying to, starting October 25.
The move makes Miami the company’s 12th destination in the Americas, on top of existing services to Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Toronto, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, Boston, Montreal and San Francisco.
Miami flights will be operated every weekday, THY said.
Meanwhile Lufthansa is expanding its Turkey route coverage by launching flights between Bodrum and Frankfurt.
Germany’s flagship carrier has been flying to Bodrum from Munich since last year. Now the new flights mean German travelers in and around Frankfurt will not miss the famous nightlife of Bodrum.
Starting May 16, 2015, Lufthansa will fly once in a week on Saturdays departing at 13.35 from Frankfurt and arrive 17.40 to Bodrum. Return flights will depart Bodrum at 18.35 and arrive 20.55 to Frankfurt on same day.
Lufthansa which has the biggest market share in Turkey among the foreign carriers will have a total of 71 weekly flights from Turkey after launching the new Bodrum flights and new additional services that will start by the end of summer season from Izmir to Munich and from Antalya to Munich.
