A WELL-KNOWN translator in Didim has flagged up a new law in the UK which could affect visa applications there.
Sami Isik said: “According to the new law introduced by the UK government in April, before you apply for your visa to United Kingdom, you must pay your health insurance surcharge.
“The fee for the surcharge is £200 per year. As the family settlement visas are for over 2 years, you are required to pay 963 USD alongside your visa fee, which is 1491 USD.”
He added that settlement visa fee, English Language Test, Financial requirement and UK health surcharge work out at about 7,500 TL.
Mr Isik urged that if you are planning to apply for a settlement in the UK this year to be prepared for these costs
