As stated in Voices recently the construction ban came into effect on 15th May, beginning with Altinkum beachfront and the hotel zone.
Please notice the scene I captured as I walked along the seafront on Tuesday 2nd June. Does anyone take any notice of official dictates in this town, and does anyone implement them?
I saw not one Police or Zabita officer whilst the concrete conveyor was in operation. Though, amazingly, shortly after it had gone a smattering of blue uniforms appeared; looking for illegal ice cream sellers and persons selling cold drinks to sun bathers. It’s comforting to know that the holiday maker is being well catered for!
Though what I find perturbing, and indeed disturbing, is how the concrete conveyor and the concrete mixer, which friends also took photographs of, were permitted to enter the newly closed Altinkum beachfront road.
Someone let them in; some official permission obviously was obtained. Why? How? And by whom was authorisation given?
Glenn Maffia.
