DIDIM Mayor Deniz Atabay, along with local journalists, took a tour of works completed across the resort last weekend.

The mayor emphasized that the council was working hard in all areas to bring them up to scratch.

The tour included the Third Beach area, the beach front area as well as municipal parks.

He said: “We know that we have much work to do, but this my first year in charge and I wanted to tell the people that we are working away as much as we can to achieve everything that this town deserves.

“We want more parks and green areas where we can allocate them.”

Mr Atabay said the work also included better lighting in areas as well as extra flowering to prettify the areas.
