THE Aydin Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKI) General Directorate has announced that it is close to finishing works in Didim.

The authority has undertaken to do flood alleviation and sewer works across the town, including Inonu and Adnan Menderes Boulevards, in Hunter’s Valley, close to several hotels, the hospital and industrial zone.

The last step of the flood alleviation works will be concentrated on the town’s busy street Cumhuriyet Caddesi. Around 1,630 metres of pipe laying will be done.

ASKI has also completed most of the work in the Akbuk area, while six additional water wells have been created for Didim and Akbuk.

Meanwhile, Didim Mayor Deniz Atabay has announced that work continues on asphalting and pavestone laying continues in most neighbourhoods of Didim.

He said that an extra 8,000 sqm of road surfacing will be laid, with plans to offer tenders for another 42,000 sqm in the coming days.

Other areas are also getting hot asphalting, while Aydin continues resurfacing the Adnan Menderes Bulvari (the Marina Road)
