FREE Turkish lessons for foreigners are being put on in Didim.

The lessons will be at Halk Eğitimi Merkezi, a government education centre on a road down the side of HSBC Bank on the corner and next to Kültür Tea Gardens.

They are planned to begin at the end of Sept 2015.

Level 1 is for beginners or people with some knowledge of Turkish, while Level 2 is for people who have taken Level 1 and wish to learn more.

Classes are two nights per week and continue for 3/4 months (usually 1800-2100 or 1700-2000hrs.

You can put your name down by taking a photocopy of residence permit, TC number that starts with 99 (NOT tax number) and contact telephone number and hand these to the school secretary.
