THE panto season arrived in Didim with the Pirates of the Aegean playing to packed audiences.
Members of Didim Glee Club pulled out all the stops for one of the best pantos in years.
The December 10 performance which Voices attended – a second performance was held on December 11 – was packed with incident, fluffed lines, a small power cut, and an attempt by some jolly pirates to relive the audience of a few Lira.
All the performances were exceptional, with the leads really getting into their characters, and provoking plenty of laughs from the audience.
It was refreshing to see a number of children in the audience being engaged in the panto.
Speaking to members of the audiences after the shows, all said the performances were memorable and put them in the Christmas spirit.
The performances were held at the Didim Chamber of Commerce theatre.
