CLEANLINESS and great food – simple staples for diners – have been helping the Lounge Bar experience one of its best ever seasons – even though tourism is said to be on the floor.

The Lounge Bar has seen massive interest with expats and tourists on most nights looking to dine out in a chilled atmosphere, with friendly smiling staff and tasty cuisine.

So it’s no wonder that owners Metin and Alan have increased their staff to cope with the influx of guests, new and old, coming from across the resort, as well as Mavisehir, Yesilkent, Yesiltepe and Akbuk.

At one point this week, the restaurant was that packed that they had to sadly turn away some guests. Hence, the restaurant is advising people to give them a call first to book a table and guarantee a great night out.

The bar is a trusted name in the expat community, where you enter as a respected guest and leave as a friend.

The restaurant, which has a capacity for 80 diners, is handily located on Manastir Caddesi – a road down the side of McDonald’s and A101 just off Ataturk Boulevard

Alan said the menu seems to be a major winner as it includes new dishes, such as crispy crab balls, as well as old favorites such as gammon steaks, fish and chips, Indian and Chinese curries and madrasses.

The restaurant hosts a Fish and Chip special every Monday; Fish night on Wednesdays and Curry night on Fridays. Bottled Efes and Tuborg are 8TL.

Alan added: “We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has made the restaurant what it is this season. We have been exceptionally busy but we have maintained that chilled vibe and allow guests to relax and eat in comfort.

“We have no time for karaoke, quizzes and don’t offer a car service. We simply offer great food and service with a smile. And cleanliness is key.”

The bar also stocks Voices Newspapers on Saturdays so you are always up-to-date with the latest news. The Lounge Bar is open 8.30am till late, seven days a week.
