Akbuk front work continues apace

DIDIM Mayor Deniz Atabay was in Akbuk last week to check on the extent of the works along the front.

The route is being completely renewed in efforts to renovate the front.

Soke factory/outlet to close October

AROUND 700 jobs are to be lost at a clothing factory which stands just behind the famous Lee and Wrangler distribution outlet on Soke-Bodrum highway.

The company Vf Ege Lee, which has been operating in Söke for 26 years, took the decision to close the Söke factory. It opened on the Söke-Bodrum highway in 1991 by Kayhan Ailisi, but will now close in October 2017.

The news was greeted with shock by workers. The company said it was as a result of rapidly changing market conditions.
