Didim Municipality opens social project for women

The Practical Women’s Training Center (KUEM), organized by Didim municipality in conjunction with the Doğuş Group as part of a social project, was opened on Wednesday, March 28.

At the ceremony held at the Applied Women’s Education Center, Deniz Atabay, Mayor of Didim, Şelale Saraç, Doğuş Holding Social Project Manager, Özlem Denizman Doğuş Holding Social Project Adviser, and other women who participated in Doğuş Holding participated in the workshop in KUEM were present.

Özlem Denizman, the consultant of the Doğuş Holding Social Projects, said: “We are now handing over the transfer and we have been doing a good job for two and a half years.

“In the past two and a half years, we have been making a lot of production, and here our women are winning and this makes us very happy. They all joined the production and the economy while sitting at home

“We believe the participation of our women in employment is a very big step. We will always continue to support each other.”

Tourism unit bids for investment money

Didim Tourism Infrastructure Service Union has applied to the government’s Southern Aegean Development Agency GEKA for funding for a host of tourism projects.

A study – called Strengthening of Didyma Culture Tourism Infrastructure – has been completed and submitted by the union to GEKA.

The project seeks to introduce historical and natural beauties of Didim, such as the Sacred Way, 3rd Beach, Apollon Temple and others, through presentations, film, mapping, brochures and website promotions.
