A dog, attacked by other stray animals and seriously injured in its face, has undergone major surgery and recovery – and is now looking for a new home.

The dog, named Maylo, has recovered at the Didim Municipality Stray Animal Treatment and Temporary Care Center. It underwent stem cell treatment and major skin grafts.

Didim Municipality Stray Animals Treatment and Temporary Care Center, which has made a name for itself in Turkey with its success and provides 24-hour service with its expert staff, continues its activities.

The 2-year-old male dog who was seriously injured after being attacked by other stray animals and was brought to the Center by citizens.

The dog, who had a high amount of tissue loss on his face and was in danger of losing one eye, was operated on in the Patili Dostlar Operating Room within the shelter. The dog, who was treated with stem cells and underwent skin grafts, regained his health after a difficult process. 

The dog was given the name ‘Maylo’ after he was neutered and received other vaccines. It is now looking for a new home like scores of others at the center.

Didim Mayor Ahmet Deniz Atabay, who thanked the center staff for their successful work. “Our shelter belonging to our municipality in our animal friendly city Didim has once again made us proud.”
