After the applications for the 1st Didim National Photography Contest, which was organized by Didim Municipality and approved by the Turkish Photographic Art Federation, to showcase the historical beauties of Didim, the winners were announced.
The jury gathered at the end of the applications for the 1st Didim National Photography Contest, whose application deadline is August 11, and met to evaluate the applications.
The scope of the competition saw images of the historical and natural beauties of Didim by photographers.
After the meeting, the winners of the competition were announced on 21 August, the determined date.
The winners are, in order; The 1st place winner will receive 6 thousand TL, the 2nd place winner will receive 5 thousand TL, and the 3rd place winner will receive 4 thousand TL.
The winners of the photo contest are:
Yüksel Gedikli, who participated from Muğla, received a gold medal with his photograph titled “İlyasbey Complex”.
Hakan Gümüş, who participated from Konya, received a silver medal with his photograph named “Milet Hamam”,
Ali Kayabaşı from Aydın received a bronze medal with his photograph titled “Heybet 2”,
Fazilet Ecemiş from Niğde, honourable mention with her photograph named “Apollo Temple”,
Hakan Kuyumcu from Izmir, honourable mention with his photograph named “Milet Antique City”,
İsmail Serhat Şahin, who participated from Balıkesir, won the honourable mention with his photograph titled “View from the Ancient City of Miletus”.
Among the jury members were Çanakkale 18 Mart University Faculty Member Aykan Özener, Ege University Faculty of Letters Archeology Department Associate Professor Haluk Sağlamtimur, Master Architect and Photograph Artist Liane Linda Bencuya, İzmir Photographers Association Chairman of the Board Photographer Seda Şengök, İzmir Photographers Association Board Member Photography Artist Tayfun Kocaman and Didim Deputy Mayor Architect Öznur Gündoğdu.
The winners will receive their awards with the exhibition and ceremony that will take place on Friday, September 1, 2023.
