The Ministry, which amended the Price Label Regulation, stipulated that the documents regarding tariffs and price lists must be placed in front of the entrance door and on the tables where service.
This includes restaurants, restaurants, cafes, patisseries and similar workplaces where food and beverage services are provided, in a way that can be easily seen and read by consumers.
While the said practice entered into force as of 1 January, the compliance of food businesses with this regulation was closely monitored by the Ministry.
Ministry teams carried out inspections on price lists in restaurants, eateries, cafes, patisseries, some workplaces where food and beverage services are provided in 17 provinces. These inspections were carried out in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Manisa, Aydın, Bursa, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Balıkesir, Tekirdağ, Samsun, Kayseri, Konya, Adana, Mersin and Van.
The teams of Aydın Provincial Directorate of Trade also checked the price tariffs and menu lists on the tables, which should be visible to citizens. It was determined that most of the businesses inspected by the teams complied with the regulation.
