Air temperatures above seasonal norms have mobilised diving tourism early this season in Kuşadası.

The resort offers its local and foreign guests the opportunity to explore the unique beauties of the Aegean by diving in the turquoise sea thanks to its underwater beauties.

Especially in April, high air temperatures compared to previous years revitalised diving tourism.

In the city where 7 diving centres operate, tourists witness the beauty of the underwater by diving at 13 reef points with one of the world’s largest sunken aircraft, Airbus A300, single-engine aircraft and caves.

Diving instructor Tağmaç Saraçoğlu told the AA correspondent that the season started early and the demand increased day by day. ‘The good weather made the season more active compared to previous years. There was a mobilisation in the diving sector. The demand for diving was high because the weather was very good, there was no rain, the weather was sunny, there was no wind, and the sea was calm.’

Saraçoğlu said that there are hot water sources under the sea as well as old stone anchors and ceramic pieces. Explaining that they came across parts of boats in areas close to the harbour area, Saraçoğlu said: ‘We are trying to show all these beauties to our guests and keep them alive with the past.

“We also have cavity diving. Our cavity dive in the Pamucak region is a point at 5-6 metres in one direction in sunlight. From here, we let certified divers experience excitement and adrenaline. We feel the corals on the wall and the slightly warm water and make them pass through there.’

Ross Urquhart, who came from Scotland, stated that he dived for the first time and said, ‘I encountered a lot of underwater creatures here. I recommend diving to everyone.’

Sevil Terzioglu, who has been coming to Kuşadası for 2 years, stated that she started diving to overcome her fear of underwater. She said: “It is very enjoyable and you encounter incredible beauties. There is only you, your eyes and your diving team. It is actually a complete therapy for me. The underwater fauna of Kuşadası is very rich.”
