Serkan Öztürk and his wife Zahide, who live in Aydın, are attracting attention with their passion for travel.

The Öztürk couple, who have already explored 81 provinces of Turkey, are traveling the world with their 4-year-old daughter Pera.

42-year-old Serkan Öztürk, who works as a civil servant in  Aydın, devoted his life to discovering new places with his wife Zahide Koru Öztürk, who is an officer clerk.

The Öztürk couple, who are passionate about travelling, have been traveling whenever they have the time since 2017. Having conquered all Turkey’s 81 provinces, they have also visited the Balkan countries, Scandinavian and Baltic countries.

The traveling couple, who took their four-year-old daughter Pera with them, experienced the joy of discovering new places and increased their knowledge through their travels. The new target of the Öztürk couple is Central Asia.

Stating that he enjoys traveling very much, Serkan said: “I am an individual who loves traveling and driving for as long as I can remember. When I met my wife and after we got married, she kept up with me in traveling.

“Thus, we started exploring new places together. Our first activity abroad together, when we were engaged, was a bicycle trip that started from Edirne, covered Greece and Bulgaria, crossed the Rhodope Mountains and returned to Edirne.

“Afterwards, we visited the Balkans, Scandinavian and Baltic countries, both with our own vehicle and by air and car rental methods. We had the opportunity to visit all 81 provinces of Turkey.

“Our daughter comes with us on our travels. She is having a great time just like us. Now our new target is Central Asia. We want to visit and explore this place in the coming days and continue our world tour.”

.Öztürk, who also provided information about the budgets he created for his trips, said, “We avoid luxury in our hotels. We generally rent apartments during our trips and stay there. If we have a vehicle, we consider the cost of accommodation by choosing accommodations that are 10-15 kilometers away from the city center instead of close to it.

“We prepare almost all breakfasts at the places we go, either because they do not appeal to us or because they are not satisfying. If there is a food that should be eaten or a taste that should be tried in the region we go to, we definitely try it.

“However, if the food is the kind that can be found everywhere, we solve our own food problem. We try to solve it with the lowest costs by following the campaigns of travel companies and banks, making flight tickets, accommodation reservations or car rentals early.”

Öztürk, who stated that traveling provided them with many benefits, said: “Our horizons have expanded by seeing new places and learning new information. We met new people and had many different experiences. All of these provide very important benefits. My advice to everyone is to travel.”
