Kuşadası Municipality Police Department teams are implementing strict inspections on businesses that do not comply with the free sunbed and umbrella rule applied on beaches.

During the inspections they carry out at regular intervals, the teams are imposing penalties on businesses that sell sunbeds and umbrellas to the public.

Following the protocol signed between Kuşadası District Governorship and Kuşadası Municipality on May 20, Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel announced that sunbeds and umbrellas will be offered free of charge to the public on the 401,499 square meter beach area within the borders of Kuşadası.

During inspections conducted on the Karaova Neighborhood coast on July 21, a business was found to be selling sunbeds and umbrellas to the public.

A fine was imposed on the business owner in accordance with the Coastal Law No. 3621 and Article 22/41 of the Municipality’s municipal police administrative sanction regulation. In addition, the sunbeds that were not in use were collected by the teams.
