A warning has been issued to those renting out their homes without permission after two people was each fined 94,000TL.

The two, who were determined to have rented their home for a day without permission, following an inspection carried out by the Gendarmerie in Söke, were each imposed an administrative fine.

This comes after a homeowner in Güzelçamlı, Kuşadası, who rented his house on a daily basis, did not report the records of the people renting his house to the official authorities. He was also fined 94,000 TL.

Authorities have issued warnings on the issue, stating that inspectors of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance have recently increased their inspections and carried out detailed examinations.

Officials stated that a notification requirement has been introduced for daily rentals, and that this is aimed at preventing tax evasion and increasing security measures. So it is important for homeowners to comply with the rules.

Authorities drew attention to the fact that heavy fines await homeowners and business owners who do not comply with the notification requirement.
