Gathering under the leadership of the Mukhtar’s Office in the Akköy neighborhood of Didim, young people cleaned the pine grove and the area around the water tank in the neighborhood and conducted a possible fire drill.

An exemplary sensitivity was displayed in Akköy neighborhood, which is one of the oldest settlements in Didim and is admired by many people for its historical houses.

Under the leadership of Akköy neighborhood headman Birol Bıçakcı, the youths cleaned the area called the grove, which was afforested years ago during Forest Week, and the water tank in the area.

In order to prevent damage to the pine grove area against a possible fire, the surroundings of the grove were plowed with a tractor to take precautions.

They also carried out a mini drill against a possible fire in the grove area.

Neighborhood Headman Bıçakçı thanked the neighborhood youth for the exemplary sensitivity shown and warned the residents of the neighborhood to protect the environment and nature.
