A significant piece of land at Mavişehir, near Didim, has been allocated for hotel construction by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The Ministry revealed this week it had released two plots of coastal land for two 1,000-bed 5-star hotels. The land is locally referred to as “Sedef Bay, Sarıkum Beach and Kulakçı Bay” in the Hisar district.
The plots, which be viewed on the Ministry’s website, will be allocated to local and foreign entrepreneurs for the purpose of making tourism-oriented investments in them in accordance with the relevant regulation provisions.
Local and foreign entrepreneurs who want to invest in the real estate in question will initially have to pay an allocation request fee of 50 thousand Turkish Lira. The Ministry will then decide which investors will be allocated these lands once companies have been evaluated in terms of financial adequacy.
The tracts of land at Sedef were among nine plots in four in four provinces to be allocated for tourism potential. According to the announcement in the Official Gazette, plots were also released in Antalya, Afyonkarahisar, and Muğla.
This latest land sell off comes on the heels of news in April when the Ministry of Culture and Tourism released and allocated land for 8 immovable properties in the upper part of the coastline, located within the borders of Çamlık neighborhood in Didim and popularly known as the 3rd Bay public beach.
At least three areas appeared to be located close to Altinkent Sitesi, close to Didim Marina and Parliamentari Sitesi.
