Ahmet Akbalık, owner of Ela Excellence Resort Belek in Antalya and Chairman of Özak Global Holding, has given information about new tourism investments – and plans to invest in a large hotel in Didim.
Expressing that they will continue their tourism investments to turn the Ela Excellence brand into a chain, Akbalık said that their new addresses will be Bodrum, Kemer and Didim.
Stating that the construction investment of the three hotels will be $600 million, Akbalık noted that the total bed capacity will increase to 3,000.
Stating that he predicts that 2024 will be better in terms of tourism in the country, Akbalık made the following assessment: “Turkey’s tourism potential is very high, but we need to diversify our products.
“The same type of facilities are being built in the same region and the bed occupancy rate is 38 percent. In France, this rate is 65 percent. When the capacity and demand do not match, prices increase and we cannot attract qualified tourists. Policies need to be redesigned.”
