The best beaches in Didim have been revealed amid news that sunbeds and sun loungers will be provided free at all public-run beaches.
A total of 12 beaches and Didim Marina have been awarded the Blue Flag status. The internationally recognised eco-label lauds high water quality, environmental management, education and safety at the spots.
The Blue Flag beaches across Didim and Akbuk are:

Turkey is ranked third in the world for the number of Blue Flag-status beaches. Spain is ranked first, and Greece is second. Aydin province is in the top five provinces in Turkey to be awarded Blue Flags.

Didim Municipality recently announced it is to abolish the umbrella and sun lounger fees collected from citizens at the beaches run by the municipality every year.
It said that sun loungers and umbrellas on public beaches throughout the district will now be free of charge.
Didim Mayor Hatice Gençay wished a happy holiday to the people of Didim and the guests coming to the district.
This practice follows on from Kusadasi declaring that sunbeds and loungers will also be free across its public run beaches for the summer.
