The traffic nightmare that has persisted for years at Söke’s Novada Outlet Island is set to end.
Plans have been put forward for an overpass at the junction which connects Kuşadası, Didim, Bodrum and Izmir.
Details have emerged that the proposals have been included in the government’s 2025 investment program.
The congestion at the intersection has been creating great difficulties for local people as well as holidaymakers trying to reach tourist areas.
AK Party Aydın Deputy Mustafa Savaş has put forward a bridge junction project to Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, and it has been included in the 2025 investment program. It is expected that work will begin within one year.
Along with the intersection, the problem of an underpass that will connect Argavlı Neighborhood to Söke’s agricultural lands will also be resolved. This project aims to make transportation in the region safer and faster.
With the Novada project, it is hoped that Söke’s transportation infrastructure will significantly improve.
