THE EVER-POPULAR Lounge Bar and its staff have issued a heart-felt thanks to diners, drinkers, regulars, old and new, for making it a great season at the restaurant and bar.

Run by duo Alan and Metin, the bar has become one of the best addresses in the resort for a quiet drink, great food and a wonderful atmosphere.

The managers said they had been overwhelmed with the popularity of the bar which doesn’t do a quiz or karaoke, but excels in lively conversation, hearty, quality meals and a decent night out in the suburbs.

The bar is handily located on Manastir Caddesi – a road down the side of McDonald’s and A101 just off Ataturk Boulevard.

Lounge Bar is a trusted name in the expat community, where you enter as a respected guest and leave as a friend.

The bar serves up a new menu including pork dishes, from belly pork and gammon steak to pork chops and pork kebabs. The menu also features signature Indian dishes, as well as English, Turkish and Continental dishes. English and Turkish breakfasts are also available from 9am.

The ethos of The Lounge is simple: the customer is always right. But the staff, headed up by owners Alan and Metin work hard to instil trust between them and the customer.

Alan said that this winter, the bar would open three days a week – Friday, Saturday and Sunday – from 2pm to 7pm, with meal options available.

The bar is also creating its own darts team and will open up on Mondays when its team plays at home.

Alan said: “Both Metin and I and the rest of the staff want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported the bar and restaurant this year.

“We have seen a lot of new faces, even people coming over from Akbuk. Thanks to you all and we hope that we will see you next season.”
