WATER sports could take off in a completely new direction this season – with the flyboard.
A favourite adrenalin rush for many water sports enthusiasts on the Continent, the flyboard was given a run out off the coast of Altinkum this week.
The presentation – given in front of the Didim Governor İskender Yönden – was hosted by the Didim Water Sports Association, in conjunction with Yamaha Watercraft Didim.
The flyboard enables a user to push themselves about seven metres into the sky using the water pressure.
Applications for the water sports licences around the coastal area are presently underway and it is hoped that the flyboard will become a permanent fixture on the Altinkum summer scene.
