DIDIM children put on several great performances as they showed their acrobatic talents at their first public show.

The show was organized by AcroBallet, which organizes acrobatic training sessions for children and their mums.

Last Saturday’s performance was greeted by a packed audience at the Chamber of Commerce’s theatre.

The children, aged between three and 12, performed a number of acroballet steps and tricks.

Former Belarusian athletes İrina Günal and Darya Kosmina – who run the AcroBallet group – then performed a short set of acrobatic sequences that topped off the evening.

Irina is a former national champion in acrobatics who has won medals and represented her country at the European and world championships back in the 1990s, while Darya has also represented her country in the same disciplines.

AcroBallet is located off Inönü Boulevard – the road that runs between Didim Belediye and Didim Hospital and just by the basketball courts on Güllüdam Cad, in Cumhurriyet Mah, close to Saturday Market.

The mums are offering expert training for kids with gymnastics and stunt training. The sessions are for ages 3-6, 6-9 and 9-12 years, every day from 3pm to 6pm.

The programmes include choreography, dance, acrobatics and trampoline. All disciplines improve bone and muscle strength, speed and power, and increase concentration and coordination.
