ART lovers in Didim will be all at sea this weekend with a marine-themed exhibition.

The exhibition is being hosted at Didim Marina Yacht Club and will see the best of art from Didim Art Club, headed by local resident Pat Flint, and her members, as well as art from students from two local schools.

The exhibition kicked off on Thursday night (July 28) with a cocktail party for invited guests, which the Voices attended. Among the guests were former world boxing champion John H Stracey and his wife Kathy; Didim Town Council Chairman Osman Ayyıldız, as well as art lovers, and members of Help-in-Hands.

The mayor Deniz Atabay and the Didim Governor Iskender Yondem were unable to attend due to prior commitments.

The exhibition will be hosted until Sunday July 31. The festival will also include three artists in residence, demonstrating sculpturing, stone paintings and watercolours.

Proceeds from the exhibition will go towards funding tennis courts for local schools under Didim Help-in-Hands ‘Sports for Kids’ project.

The exhibition will be on from 2pm to 8.30pm, and the artists will be in residence from 4pm-6pm.
