ELECTRIC cabling works have continued apace in the Akbuk area with the aim to lessen future power cuts.

Studies of the Soke-Akbuk Energy Transmission Line revealed that 40 percent of a 36-kilometer cable laying route has been completed as part of contractual works.

It is hoped that completion of the power line installation with help minimize power outages that have experienced in recent years as more construction has been completed in the Akbuk area.

The cost of the project is expected to reach TL 6 million and should be completed within 18 months.
