Fishermen bemoan trawler fishing

LOCAL fishermen have hit out at trawler fishing I the Aegean for depleting fish stocks.

Fishermen in Didim and Kuşadası claim that there were less fish stocks than last year due to intensive trawler fishing in the region.

One fisherman Ali Tekintas said: “There has been a massive decline in fish stocks due to the trawler fishing and the effects of fish farming in and around the area.”

Didimspor face season’s biggest test

DIDIMSPOR will face their biggest game of the season on Sunday when they play away to league leaders Atillaspor.

Both teams are undefeated this season, with Didim having draen their last game 0-0 against Somaspor. Didim racked up their fifth consecutive clean sheet in the draw.

But all eyes will now be on Sunday (Dec 13). Atillaspor are top with 28 points while Didim remain in third on 24 points.
