AN 800-bed state hospital is earmarked to be built in Aydin, it has emerged.
The hospital, proposed and supported by Aydın Provincial Director of Health Dr. Kasım Çetin, with input from Japanese firm ITEC, who arrived in the province for a three-day visit.
Ground surveys of a plot of land for the hospital are underway, but the hospital, once opened, may well supersede Aydin’s two state hospitals.
Consultations are underway, but state health officials said it would offer a more efficient working environment and better quality of service delivery for patients.
Mr Cetin said: “We plan to lay the groundwork for a modern hospital in order to respond to the needs of our people, with all the equipment required.”
State health investments are also presently underway in Kusadasi, Aydin and Soke.
