A SIX metre clocktower in the form of a lighthouse will take pride of place at the gateway to Altinkum, it has been revealed.

The structure will stand at the junction at the bottom of Ataturk Boulevard and the main entrance to Altinkum Beach.

It is being designed by artist Olgaç Demirkol who has been behind a number of statues at Didim Belediye parks across the resort and Akbuk.

The clocktower is expected to be finished soon and in situ by the end of the year
